Deborah Grosmark
Founder, Center Director & Instructor

Deborah is the founder of The Creative Arts Corner, providing diverse arts-in-education programming for private students, schools and local organizations. She is the proud recipient of the 2021 Rockland County Arts Educator Award.

Since 2001, she has created various educational programs such as: The Art of Photography, The Art of Digital Storytelling, PhotoGarten™, Music & Me Playhouse™, DramaGarten™ that have been running throughout the county. She has served as the Director of Education Programming at Riverspace Arts and is in her 19th year as a teaching artist for R.P. Connor Elementary School’s “Festival of the Arts.”

Most recently, The CAC of HV has been the recipient of the BEST in Hudson Valley 2022 & 2023: “Photography Programs for Kids” and “Arts & Culture: Photography Classes for Adults”awards. The studio has also been recognized in both 2021 and 2022 by Kids Out And About “BEST Photography Classes for KIDS, Hudson Valley.”

Deborah holds a B.S. in Human Development with a dual concentration in Psychology and Counseling. She has acquired extensive arts training at Ithaca College, NYU Steinhardt School of Education and The Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. She is a member of NAMfE, Kindermusic® educator and a trained Music Together® instructor (Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton NJ), with Level II ECMMA certification.

Both The CAC of HV and Deborah Grosmark have been nominees for the 2005, 2006 & 2007 Rockland County Executive Arts Awards and have served the local community as a *four-time grant recipient (Musical Bridges™ funded through the Ulster County Environmental Management Learn and Serve America program, NYS Education Department and the Corporation for National Service). PHOTOGRAPHER:

Deborah is an award-winning photographer, specializing in performing arts production imagery and feature film unit stills. Her passion lies within the performing arts, circus and cinematic arts. When she is not engaged on-location or on-set, she provides unique visual arts instruction that combines her multi-faceted field experiences.

Her photographs have been represented in A Killer Romance (Feature Film), The Carriage Barn Arts Center, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Garnerville Arts Center, Edward Hopper House Art Center, Rockland Center for the Arts, Riverspace Arts, Subconscious (Feature Film), The New York Renaissance Faire, The Little Orchestra Society, The Worldwide Circus Summit, as well as private and corporate collections.

Published internationally, Feature Cover Stories & Photo Essays include: Big Apple Circus, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Cirque Éloize (division of Cirque du Soleil).
