Photography Event Policies & Guidelines

REGISTRATION POLICIES

Please check our calendar for the date that your specific event begins. We follow the NRCSD vacation calendar only for closings. All other holidays are at the discretion of the Studio. Contact Deborah Grosmark at (845) 548-5823, if you have any questions.

Online Registration
For fast, easy payment and to register for a class, you may sign up online using a major credit card. Our registration form is available, here. Every participant must be registered prior to their first class.

In-Person Registration/Mail
Checks can be made payable to “The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley” and dropped off at the studio door dropbox. Please coordinate with Deborah Grosmark by phone or email, as in-person studio hours vary throughout the year.

EVENT TERM & CONDITIONS: 

  • All registrations are accepted in the order received.

  • Early registration is strongly suggested since there are limited spaces available.

  • Eligibility: Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey (unless permissions are granted prior to registration). 

  • Included in the photography event cost: 

    • Instruction by Deborah Grosmark.

    • Use of a meeting room with projection.

    • Keynote presentation and orientation

    • Group focus session

  • Not included in the event cost:

    • Meals, drinks and accommodations

  • Payment, cancellation, and refunds:

    • A Deposit is due at registration to reserve a spot for the event. The Balance will be invoiced prior to the event.

    • If you are unable or you choose to no longer attend, the following refund schedule will apply:

      • 60 or more days prior to the beginning of the event: If your spot is filled, the deposit can be applied to a future event.

      • Less than 60 days prior to the workshop: No refund unless you find someone to take your spot. An administrative fee will be applied.

      • Cancellation notification is accepted by email.

      • Leaving an event in progress, for any reason, will not result in a refund.

      • We reserve the right to cancel the session because of an inadequate number of participants making the day economically infeasible to operate. In the event that a session is canceled prior to departure, you will receive a full refund of the cost of the workshop.

    • Travel insurance:

      • For your protection, travel insurance is recommended. This typically applies when travel will incur transportation, lodging and any personal, required accommodations.

Responsibility:

The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley, Inc. will provide educational enrichment during photo events. The other providers are solely responsible and liable for providing their respective services. The Creative ARts Corner of HUdson Valley, Inc. shall not be held responsible for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government, or by acts of nature, strikes, fire, flood, war, terrorism, sickness, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. The participant waives any claim against The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley, Inc. for any such loss, damage, injury, or death. The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley, Inc. reserves the right in their sole discretion to accept, decline to accept or remove any participant on any photo workshop. The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley, Inc. reserves the right, without penalty, to make changes in the itinerary whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrants, or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of participants. You have assumed the responsibility to select an activity appropriate to your physical abilities and interests. You are personally responsible for being in sufficiently good health to undertake the activity.
